III. Comments -Compliance <br />Below are comments on the <br />observations made during <br />ment actions taken during <br />the enforcement action. <br />inspection. The comments include discussion of <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforce- <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting <br />On December 1, 1993 a complete inspection was conducted at the Canadian Strip Mine. <br />This mine is completely reclaimed and is in permanent cessation. Records were <br />checked at the Jackson County courthouse. <br />There was about 8 inches of snow on the ground that is a result of several storms in the <br />pas12 weeks. In areas drifts were 2 feel high. The fast inspection of this mine was an <br />aerial conducted November 9 and at that time there was only a light dusting of snow in <br />the shaded areas. <br />The mine was accessed from the north at the Marr Strip Mine. Both ponds were frozen <br />and snow covered. This mine is permanently reclaimed and is stable; nothing different <br />was noted from the previous inspection. <br />
