The bond for this site was forfeited after reclamation was completed. The
weather was warm and sunny and the ground was dry.
The portal area is well vegetated and in good condition. The upper part of the road
to the portal area is showing some minor erosional problems (minor rills) but is in
overall good shape. This upper part of the road is also beginning to fill in with
vegetation. The remaining highwall still appears to be stable and in good condition.
The remaining sediment pond was dry and well vegetated.
The coal sales/tipple area was also well vegetated and in good condition. There has
been very little grazing at this site so far this summer and the vegetation is looking
good, The remaining sediment pond was dry. The pond appeared to be well
vegetated and in good condition. The access road is a county road, which was well
maintained and in good condition.
Overall both areas at the Twin Pines Mine are in good condition.
