Present during the inspection were Jerry tlermans and Pete Melcher of transit Mix. The site is one of the <br />old sites permitted with the DMG. Processing involves, conveyer systems. Iront-end loaders, dozers. and process <br />plant. Post mining land use is Heavy Industrial Commercial. According to company representatives present, the <br />rnine is active negotiations with the sown OI Security to use a portion of the pit area as wafer storage. Also <br />discussed other plans such as lad swopping along the South side that They plan to pursue. All changes Io the <br />permit will be submitted in the loan a Revision to the application. <br />The site is divided into Eive phases current miring is along Phase SE. The entire site was driven and inspected. <br />Site was active at the lime of the inspection, Posf raining land use for the site is Heavy Industrial/ Commercial. <br />Rte Division has only bonded to reclaim the site but no warranty was aVOCated for dismantling of the process <br />plant and olhcr associated disturbances such as roncrele footings. etc, etc. shot will remain on site otter the <br />mining operation ceases. the e:urrenl warranty for the site rs $1,038.000. which i5 adequate to saver the Costa} <br />reclaiming 325 acres drslurbed. that is associated with a mining operation, which did not include demolition of <br />buildings. e1c.. Since the areas post mining land use is heavy incfuslrial. the areas that are housing such facilities <br />as the process area and associated buildings that are considered permanent stn~ctures. can be removed Irom <br />the permit through the acreage reduction process. The operator can submit an acreage reduction release <br />request. for these areas fn accordance with the Construction Mate;rims Rules and Regulation, and the Division <br />will recommend the release. NO wananty reductlon r_on be requested because the structures were never <br />included in the Division's warranty calculation estimate. Operator agreed to provide the required written <br />request with in 60 days. with the request a new mining and reclamation plan will be submitted to show the new <br />permit ana reclamation areas for permit t: M-1977.007SG. <br />Insper.ted the active pit area. pit slopes were stable and no major signs of slope failures noted.
