Present during the inspection were Jerry tlermans and Pete Melcher of transit Mix. The site is one of the old sites permitted with the DMG. Processing involves, conveyer systems. Iront-end loaders, dozers. and process plant. Post mining land use is Heavy Industrial Commercial. According to company representatives present, the rnine is active negotiations with the sown OI Security to use a portion of the pit area as wafer storage. Also discussed other plans such as lad swopping along the South side that They plan to pursue. All changes Io the permit will be submitted in the loan a Revision to the application. The site is divided into Eive phases current miring is along Phase SE. The entire site was driven and inspected. Site was active at the lime of the inspection, Posf raining land use for the site is Heavy Industrial/ Commercial. Rte Division has only bonded to reclaim the site but no warranty was aVOCated for dismantling of the process plant and olhcr associated disturbances such as roncrele footings. etc, etc. shot will remain on site otter the mining operation ceases. the e:urrenl warranty for the site rs $1,038.000. which i5 adequate to saver the Costa} reclaiming 325 acres drslurbed. that is associated with a mining operation, which did not include demolition of buildings. e1c.. The operator can submit an acreage reduction release request. for these areas fn accordance with the Construction Mate;rims Rules and Regulation, and the Division will recommend the release. NO wananty reductlon r_on be requested because the structures were never included in the Division's warranty calculation estimate. Operator agreed to provide the required written request with in 60 days. with the request a new mining and reclamation plan will be submitted to show the new permit ana reclamation areas for permit t: M-1977.007SG. Insper.ted the active pit area. pit slopes were stable and no major signs of slope failures noted. According to the operator since they still hove not obtained a conditional use permit for the acres amended in 2005, they will concentrate mining along the phase SE areas. No major problems identified during this inspection.
