It must be recognized, however, that this
does and can occur as a result of precipitation events only, based upon past
observations, and not wholly due to our spray application activities. We have been
concerned with this to the extent of avoiding surficial ponding as much as possible and
preventing overland flow of water in relation to our spraying activities. Care will
continue to be exercised when we are conducting evaporative spraying activities to
assure that water is not released to Windy Gulch.
Please be advised that we discontinued spray application water management activities on
11/15/97 with adit seepage being reported to the infiltration trench; this will continue
until next Spring or at such a time as adit flows cease. Next Spring we will resume
evaporative spray applications as ground and weather conditions allow.
We are continuing to work on the caved section in the 9360 workings along with re-
construction of timber support as we progress; most of the summarized details of our
recent activities were forwarded to you recently in our November monthly report.
If you have any questions, or require further information, please contact me in the San
Francisco office.
Very Truly Yours,
i~~l~~~
Cc: B.
