•~ .:
Summary:
CC&V has reviewed its Quality Assurance and Quality Control Procedures and increased the
detail of those Procedures to include a numeric frequency for field inspection. A session to
review all of these procedures was held with Bateman Engineering, Inc. and Ames Construction
and Sundt on July 18, 1994 to ensure that all personnel were directly informed of the
Procedures.
CC&V shares the OMLR's concern about the thoroughness of QA/QC procedures and believes
that it has taken steps throughout design and planning to ensure frequent and adequate field
inspections. We believe the "system was working" during the inspector's visit, but that our
communication channels were not as clear and direct as they should be. We appreciate the
OMLR staff bringing their concerns to our attention. In the future, it would be extremely
helpful if OMLR staff were able to inform CC&V during and immediately after an inspection
of "potential problems" so as to enable CC&V to act more expeditiously.
Y,
Environmental Affairs
FILE: CC&VSTIP.002
7
