(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-1977-307
INSPECTION DATE: 11-06-06
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS GRM
This inspection was conducted as part of the normal monitoring program established by the Colorado Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety for permitted sites. The CM-25 is located west of the Uravan Repository site in
Western Colorado. The 110(2) permitted site is fully reclaimed and being monitored for revegetation success.
Additionally, there is a possibility that the mine could be re-activated at a later date so release of the site is not
necessarily in the future. Glen Williams, representative for Cotter Corporation and Ed Cotter representative for the
Department of Energy accompanied the inspector on site.
The mine identification sign and affected area boundary markers are not marked. This is not an issue as the site is in
full reclamation. However, ifreactivation occurs, all boundaries and aproper sign will be required priorto anynew
disturbance on site.
As noted above, the site is fully reclaimed. Vegetation is doing very well, with primary species being four-winged
salt bush, rabbit brush and perennial grasses of Indian ricegrass, pubescent and crested wheat. The density and
variety indicate a well established plant community.
The area has had signi&cant record rain fall in the past month. The site has faired well with very little impact from
erosion. Pocking has helped contain sedimentation and provided additional erosion control. Minor rilling, less than
undisturbed areas outside the permit area were noted and of no concern at this time. No evidence ofoff--site impacts
was observed.
No equipment or storage of materials was noted. There is some minor debris such as roof tin and other materials
that need to be picked up at some time. No release can be considered unless the debris is removed.
The bond was recalculated in 2003. Since the site is unchanged from that date, an update ofthe reclamation liability
will be done using accepted final tasks.
No issues or problems are noted at this time.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Russ Means at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3`d Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone no.
970-241-1117.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Glen Williams
OPERATOR: Cotter Comoration
STREET: P.O.
