Gunnison dine <br />Colorado Permit No. C-007-81: Permanent Program Permit <br />issued 1981. <br />Personnel on Inspection: Rocky Bowman, LVest Elk Coal Co. <br />Jerry White, OSM, 0247 <br />Enforcement <br />Samples were taken of a small discharge ( .01GPt4) which was <br />leaving the permit along t}ie OLd Bear Kline access rd. The <br />origin of the flow was determined to be pond 007. One <br />sample was collected in raw form, another was collected and <br />preserved with NH03. These will be tested for compliance <br />with perameter limits set forth in the operator's NPDES <br />permit. <br />General Comments <br />Weather conditions were cloudy wi*_h scattered sho~.vars. <br />Surface conditions were still wet from spring snow melt and <br />rain. <br />The following information was collected while on site: <br />Pond Certification <br />Ponds are certified as built by John L. De Vilbiss (PE <br />X19931) <br />Haulroad Certification <br />Transport of coal is accomplished b;~ conveyor fror„ mine to <br />loadout. There are no haulage roads at this operation. <br />Surface and Groundwater Monitoring <br />A combined surface and groundwater monitoring report is <br />filed quarterly. <br />
