(Page 4} <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING TD #: M-7a~~-~S~ <br />INSPECTION DATE: »~4/n~ <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: TAS <br />The following problems (PB) and/or possible violations (PV) (and suggested corrective actions) were identified during this <br />inspection. The problems should be corrected by the dates given, or they will become possible violations. The possible <br />violations should be corrected by the dates given to reduce their severity when considered by the Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board. The inspector noted on the previous page should be notified of all corrective actions taken. <br />PROBLEMS/POSSIBLE VIOLATIONS <br />AND <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />CORRECTION <br />DATE <br />1. There was a significant number of Saltcedar shrubs along 01/31/03 <br />the shorelines of the partially reclaimed lakes. Saltcedar <br />is a noxious weed requfiring control measures. There is no <br />evidence of a control plan for this species in the permit. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Submit a weed control plan for Saltcedar PB or PV:PB <br />on or before January 31, 2003 in the form of a technical TOPIC(S):RV <br />revision. The weed control plan should include control <br />measures to be employed and a schedule of when such <br />measures will be employed. <br />2. There was no evidence of an entrance sign or affected <br />land boundary markers as required by Rule 3.1.12. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: Post an entrance sign and mark the <br />affected land boundary as required by Rule 3.1.12. <br />Submit photographs or other evidence of completion of <br />these tasks. <br />The status of compliance with Senate Bi11 120 re irements <br />for evaporative loss of approximately 40 acres o~ exposed <br />groundwater at the Greeley Pit is unknown. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: Clarify the status of all ex osed <br />groundwater at the Greeley Pit and compliance wi~h <br />senate Bill 120 requirements for such water via <br />submittal of a written statement from the Office <br />of the State Engineer.
