<br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the La Plata Coal Mine for the month of February, 2001. The site <br />remains stable and recent snows have partially melted, although another storm is eminent. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: No signs of any new erosion were noted at this time. <br />GENERAL MINE COMPLIANCE: The site is very stable and wildlife (mostly deer) are in evidence <br />throughout the site. The snowmelt so far has not created any visible erosion and all appears satisfactory. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS: The site is dormant at this time but all appears well <br />
