There is a
layer of unprocessed gravel. It will cover an area of approximately 250' by 250'.
Reclamation Plan
We have ample overburden on the gravel strata on the west side of the pit. We plan to
excavate and shape the 250' by 250' area to a wildlife pond. We will put a layer of clay
(which is available on site) on the bottom of the pond to retain water. We estimate this
will take about 60 hours of dozer work. We currently charge $150.00 per hour for our
D9L Caterpillar dozer with operator. Therefore, the additional cost would be $9000.00
Corrective action on Item #2, Page 3 of the above mentioned report is as follows:
We will have Customized Weed Spraying visit on a semi annual basis in the spring and
fall. We will have them spray as needed for any new crop of noxious weeds. We have
consulted with Rod Cook of the La Plata County Extension office regarding this weed
control program and he agrees with this plan.
• •
