The comments include discussion of <br />observations made during the inspection. Comments also describe any <br />enforcement actions taken during the inppection and the facts or evidence <br />supporting the enforcement action. <br />On September 25 through 27, 199U a complete Inspection was conducted at <br />Sunland Mlning's Apex Mine. The Apex Mine has been In temporary cessation <br />for the past 3 years. During the Inspectlon the weather was partly cloudy <br />and warm. It had rained at the mine within the past 24 hours, enough to <br />leave puddles of standing water, and some ditches contained water: Present <br />during the Inspectlon was Henry Austin of OSM and Randy Price of MLRD. <br />RECORDS <br />Records were checked at the auto parts store In Oak Creek. These were in a <br />cardboard box kept behind the counter. It did not appear that the records <br />have been updated this year. The following records were found to be <br />missing: <br />1. The hydrology monitoring reports for the first quarter and second <br />quarter of 1990. <br />2. The quarterly pond Inspection reports for the first 2 quarters 1990. <br />3. The Mlne submitted a copy of <br />an up to date certificate of Insurance and proof that Insurance coverage <br />had not lapsed to the Dlvlslon office.
