Preventable adverse impacts to offsite areas (outside the permit boundary), due to sediment transport, erosion from uncontrolled runoff, sloughing material from overly steep slopes, etc., may be a possible violation to the DMG permit and is to be avoided. Offsite impacts due to uncontrollable events such as natural movement of the Bridalveil Creek channel, for example, should be anticipated but might not be subject to enforcment action. The operator should further note that, upon abandonment of the first road, this office will expect reclamation of the onsite portion of the road to commence. This will include grading antl revegetation. It is assumed that the CDOT permit also contains closure and stabilization requirements for the area in the right-of-way affected by the first road. This office assumes thatthose requirements will be inspected by that agency. No further items were observed during the inspection.
