(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: ~~-~97~-16_9Sr
fNSPECTIONDATE: >>-IV-0.5 INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: Inn
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was for the purpose of monitoring Lincoln County's compliance with the permit, regulations and
the Acf. Don Blake, County Land Use Administrator, and Roger Nokes, Road foreman, accompanied me on
the inspection.
The last inspection, by the Division, of this permit area was on September 2, 1999. The inspector did not report
any problems.
The permit was originally obtained by the Colorado Department of Transportation. That agency completed
most of the reclamation on the portion of the mine they disturbed. The County is now mining the north edge of
the permit area and has sloped to reclamation grade the areas they have disturbed. The stpte mined areas
are properly graded, topsoiled and for the most part established in grasses appropriate for the site and final
land use, which is rangeland. However, there are a few minor gullies on the steeper portions of the State reined
and reclaimed areas. The gullies should be monitored and, if they do not heal naturally, the County should
take action expedite their repair. The permit area is about mined out and the county will probably begin final
reclamation soon.
There are no problems requiring correction at this mine.
1 & E Contact Address
NAME: Don Blake
OPERATOR: Lincoln Cocipfy
STREET: P (~ Rnx 39
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Hugo, C'nlnrnrln ROR91
Cc: Harry Posey- via e-mail
