(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID q M-1979.058 <br />INSPECTION DATE June 07. 2005 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CBM <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />This was a regular inspection conducted by Carl Mount of the Division of Minerals and Geology. Heather McLaughlin of Routt <br />County was prosent at the inspection. <br />The Funk and Hooker Pit is the Routl County pit that is actively boing mined by the county. Stockpiles of sorted malarial oxisl <br />in the central part of tha pit with mining proceeding toward tho south and east. A berm of unmined material axists to tho east to <br />serve as visual control. This berm of matenal will bo mined out to daylight the pit in This direction at the end of mining. Topsoil <br />and overburden are stockpiled to the south in separate pates The operator is encouraged to continue this practice The topsoil <br />pile has bean seeded and perennial grasses are starting to establish. <br />Mining will continue to the south and then to the west in the future. <br />A sedrmenl pond Is located at the north entrance of the site and appears to be functioning. Generally, all disturbed area <br />drainage is directed into tho active pri area and Then routed through the sediment pond. From there any drainage flows off sde <br />and to the north. Not much sed~menl appears to enter the pond since the pit floor is flat and well graveled. <br /> <br />Top: Pil Ooor and active operations; Revegetated topsoil and overburden in the to be mined area. <br />Bottom: Overviews of pd floor and operations. <br />
