To: Tom Schriner
Division of Minerals and Geology
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
JUL 2 8 1997
From: Universal Peat Sand and Gravel
P.O. BOX 1S8
Jefferson, CO 80456
Date: July 15, 1997
Ref: Amended Application M-86-140
Dear Tom,

RECEIVED
Bivicion of Mmerels & Geology
I would like to thank you for yow assistance in applying for the amended
pemut for our gravel operation in Park County. The plan to trade ] .6 acres of
undisturbed area in our permit for an equal amount of property outside ow
permitted boundaries, I hoped, would have been a simple project. After cazeful
consideration and review of the application process, I have detemuned it would not
be feasible at this time to persue this matter.
At this point, we have completed all the concerns with the May 29th
inspection oh page 3 of yow report. We have posted the sign at the entrance and
have reclaimed and seeded the area adjacent to the undisturbed 1.6 acres.
Again, we thank you for you time and assistance on regazds to this matter.
Sincerely,
~~~
Merrill Wright
