(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1999-083
INSPECTION DATE 07/0912007
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS DEZ
This routine monitoring inspection of Permit Number M-1999-083 (Rother Pit) was conducted by Deb E. Zack of the DRMS.
Don Esarey of Cheyenne County District 2 was present during this inspection. The pit is located 14 miles north and 6 miles east
of Kit Carson, CO, and currently consists of approximately 9.85 acres where approximately 9.85 acres have been disturbed.
Mine entrance signs and permit boundary markers are all in place, and the topsoil stockpile runs the length of the mine
entrance and haul road along the active pit area. Fencelines and t-posts denote the permit boundaries. There is a berm in place
to reduce (and slow the velocity of) the surface runoff to areas outside of the permit area. All activities and completed work at
the time of inspection appeared to follow the guidelines and regulations set forth by the state and the mining and reclamation
plans for the pit, and no problems are noted for this site. The site is stable and no disturbance was observed outside of the
approved permit boundaries.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Deb E. Zack at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety,
Denver Office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone number 303-866-4179.
I & E Contact Address
cc:
^ CE
NAME Ms. Marcv Brossman ^ BL
OPERATOR Chevenne County Administrator ^ FS
STREET P.O.
