III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of
observations made during the inspection. Comments also describe any
enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence
supporting the enforcement action.
This was a partial inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado
Division of Minerals and Geology. The operator's earthwork contractor, Bruce
Wayne, was present. Approximately two feet of snow covered the ground and
limited inspection.
The Division is reviewing a bond release application that, if approved, would
result in final bond release of the site.
HYDROLOGIC nnr.auCE
The pond's emergency spillway appears to have been reconstructed to the
specifications set forth in Technical Revision TR-13. The pond appears to not
be holding water beneath the snowcover.
The upstream and downstream alluvial piezometers (3-inch PVC pipes) have been
cut-off at the surface and the approximate 4-foot deep holes filled with sand.
Cessation of hydrologic monitoring was approved in TR-14.
