III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts orevidence <br />supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Blue Flame Mine conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado Division <br />of Minerals and Geology. Prior to May 2004 DMG had last conducted reclamation on this site in May 1993. In <br />May 2004, DMG had a subsidence feature at the top of the portal area regraded and a diversion ditch was <br />excavated around the regraded area. It was raining during the inspection. Other than fall colors, the site <br />appeared as it did the last time I visited this site in June 2004. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE <br />There are no ponds or ditches on the site. No off-site hydrologic impacts were appazent in Hay Gulch downhill <br />from the disturbed area. <br />REVEGETATION <br />With the exception of the newly regraded area, revegetated areas appear in good shape with no weed problems. <br />
