III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an partial inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology. No one else was present. The ground was dry. Grasses are beginning to green up on the <br />Chimney Rock site. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: Stollsteimer Creek was running about 2 feet deep. An alluvial well whose <br />casing is marked A-3 appears in good condition, but another alluvial well about 150 yards south of A-3 <br />has damaged casing, possibly from farm equipment. If this damaged well is to be monitored in the <br />future its surface casing will need repair. <br />SLIDES AND DAMAGE: No slope stability problems were evident. Gullying or rilling also did not <br />appear to be a problem. <br />
