(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-taa~-nFi
INSPECTION DATE: nFmgins INSPECTOR=S INTfIALS: ~AS_
1. A site inspection of the Kinnie Gravel Pit was made as part of the Division's on-going 4-year inspection program. The
site is located approximately 12 miles south of Julesberg. There was no one present during the site inspection.
2. The Kinnie Pit was permitted for a total of 9.9 acres. The mine plan specifies conventional dry mining techniques. The
Kinnie Pit will be reclaimed to cropland. There is no financial warranty required, per Rule 4.1.2(2), as the operator is a
unit of County Government.
3. The Kinnie Pit is art active pit with an estimated 7-8 acres of disturbance and excavation of 8-10 below ground surface.
Topsail has been stockpiled and stored in the northwest corner of the permit area for future use in reclamation. The
operator has done a goad job of re-grading the pit walls where possible. Pit walls range in slope from near vertical to
4:1. There was no evidence of exposed groundwater. The operator has located a 50-gallon fuel tank in a properly
bermed area in the southwest portion of the pit floor. All disturbances were within the 9.9 acre permit area.
4. An entrance sign and permit boundary markers have been posted as required by Rule 3.1.12.
5. No problems noted. The operator has done an exemplary job of maintaining a "clean" operation. Mr. Renquist was
cooperative and displayed a favorable attitude toward reclamation.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Randv Renouist
OPERATOR: Sedgylick CounpL
STREET: 223 S.
