Pablo Vasques was present during the inspection. weather conditions on site were
cool and windy. Ground conditions were dry.
The purpose of this inspection was to verify completed reclamation in the old pit area of the Bad Boy
Stone Mine in order to reduce the amount of required bond. Pablo Vasquez notified the Division that
reclamation was completed in this area.
The Bad Boys Stone quarry is a 110 operation, permitted to affect 6.7 acres. There are two pits located
on site, designa[ed by old and new. The Division recalculated the amount of required bond on July 28,
1998 based on the on site disturbance. The operator reclaimed Che old pit area to reduce the amount
of required bond. The pi[ has been regraded, and blends in well with the surrounding terrain. The
regraded slope is roughly 6h:ly. The area has not been seeded Co date. The operator will need to seed
the area with [he approved seed mix either this spring or fall. A copy of the seed mix is attached.
The Division surveyed [he disturbed area and the pexmiC boundary markers using the Global Positioning
System (G PS). The data revealed that the pit old pit area is 1.2 acres in size and the new pit area
is 1.75 acres in size. The total permit area within the boundaries is roughly 5 acres. Based on the
surveyed areas and the reclamation completed, the bond will be reevaluated. The operator will be
notified of any changes to the amount of financial warranty.
Permit markers and a mine sign were posted as required in the July 1998 inspection. No other problems
were noted.
I & E Contact Address
NAME
OPERATOR
STREET
CITY/STATE/ZIP
cc: Carl Mount; DMG
Pablo Vasquez
11495 Weld County Rd 20
Ft.
