The site is mined on as need basis. The site
is a small 110 in stream sand and gravel operation located approximately 17 miles north of Flagler,
Colorado. The site was active last year and according to the annual report, approximately, 4000 yards of
material was removed from the bed. No sever sign of bank erosion noted. Boundary markers east and west,
appeared to be marked. No major problem noted. As stated in earlier inspection reports, it will be beneficial
to both the Division and the county if locations of these pits will be provided on a map using county roads
as identifiers. It is difficult enough to find these dry stream beds using USG's maps but Ending small permit
areas in these stream beds using existing maps of poor quality, makes the State's job even harder. The
Division appreciates in advance the County's willingness to provide such maps as soon as possible.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Lvnda Brownfield
OPERATOR: KIT CARSON COUNTY
STREET: P.O.BOX t60
CITY/STATE/ZIP: BURLiNCTON.CO.ROR07
JAMES STEVENS
cc: ^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WQCD (CH)
^ OTHER
