Site is located
along State highway 67, near the old town of GILETTE. The operator has been trying to sell the property for
the past few years with out a lot of success. Given the current market for aggregate in the area, it does not
appear, that the operator will find a buyer any time soon. With that in mind, the operator SHOULD
CONSIMDER making a decision soon, to either reclaim the less than an acre of disturbance associated with
the mining activity or request a change in mining status to intermittent. There was a mobile home with a
for sale sign parked along the access to the properly, which was removed by the time the second inspection
was conducted while in the area conducting other inspections.
A small amount of stockpiled material was noted along the eastern side of the permit area. Permit area
markers and sign were properly posted. No major problem noted
I & E Contact Address
NAME: MARK YEVOLI
OPERATOR: GILLETTE SAND AND GRAVEL
STREET: 12185 NDL1MnNT WAY
CITY/STATE/ZIP: I~FfON, CO R01 JS
JAMES STEVENS
cc ^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WQCD (CH)
^ OTHER
