III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of
observations made during the inspection. Comments also describe any
enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence
supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection filown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado
Division of Minerals and Geology. Two oblique aerial photos were
reviewed in the office by Kent Gorham of CDMG on March 30, 2000. This
site is entirely reclaimed, with a total reclaimed area of about 7 acres.
The reclaimed and surrounding area was mostly snow-covered on the day of
the photographs. The sediment pond was clearly visible and appeared to
be void of any appreciable amount of water. Contour furrows on the
reclaimed surface were noticeable. Cattle were not present on the site
on this day. (Photos 74-3-17-01 and 74-3-17-02)
No evidence of anything abnormal was noted. Based upon review of the
photos, fiollow-up on-the-ground inspection would not be warranted.
Page 3
