The County must repaint the sign so that the
operator name and MLRB permit number are readable.
There is a significant infestation of tamarisk plants in the permit area, especially on the disturbed areas.
Tamarisk is a State listed noxious weed. Bent County must submit a Technical Revision to the permit to
incorporate a noxious weed control plan into the permit's reclamation plan. The Division will not charge a
technical revision fee for the revision through June 27, 2005, as long as it is only for tamarisk control.
The permit boundary as changed by Amendment No. 1 is very irregular. Boundary markers have been placed.
It appears that the operation is confined to the permit boundary. Mr. Morlan said that the County is working on
another amendment to "add more land and square off the permit." At the time of the next inspection, if the
permit has not been amended the inspector should consider verifying the permit boundary using a GPS unit.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Garv Pritchard
OPERATOR: Bent County
STREET: P (~ Rnx 350
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Inc Animny C(7 ft1054-0350
cc: Harry Posey- DMG
