r ~~ <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on the morning of <br />Thursday, September 20, 2001. The mine site was quiet and deserted. Weather was warm <br />and partly cloudy. <br />There was no sign of instability or erosion on the west side of Hubbard Creek. On that side, <br />vegetation is generally pretty dense. <br />The South end of the disturbed area, east of the creek, shows a variety of plants and there <br />is no sign of erosion. <br />The upper road/bench to the upper bench showed no sign of instability or erosion. The <br />upper bench itself showed no signs of instability or erosion. The wild rose bushes fluorished <br />this year. <br />The seep at the north end of the lower bench was dry. Just below the seep, in a low spot is <br />an infestation of bindweed. <br />There were several inches of water in Pond 5. The pond enbankments were stable and the <br />outlets clear. <br />Pond 4 was still wet from recent rains. The embankments were stable and outlets clear. <br />There was no water in the ditch at the base of the lower bench and none of the underdrains <br />were discharging. <br />The willows in the riparian area at the north end of the site (below the benches) migrated <br />further east (toward the bench) this year. <br />The lower access road showed no signs of instability or erosion. <br />Pond 3 was dry. <br />The access road (Hubbard Canyon road) was in excellent condition. <br />All signs were in place and correct. <br />
