III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />HG Mine C-80-003 <br />8 June OS <br />Page 1/1 <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Hayden Gulch Mine conducted by Jim Stark of <br />CDMG. The mine has gone through a Phase I and Phase II Bond Release on all but <br />approximately nine acres. The mine is currently in its tenth year of liability. The <br />weather was cool and sunny the ground was dry. <br />Shrub parcel HG-08 was well vegetated and appeared stable at the time of the <br />inspection. The pond contained water and was discharging at the time of the <br />inspection although the pond is no longer a part of the HG Mine permit. There were <br />no erosional problems noted on the site. <br />The 1997 slump area was stable at the time of the inspection. Ali of the stakes along <br />the top of the slump area were still in alignment. There were no erosional problems <br />noted on the area. <br />Shrub parcel E was stable and well vegetated at the time of the inspection. No <br />erosional problems were noted on the parcel. <br />The road to shrub parcels HG-08, E and the 1997 slump area was rutted slightly but <br />appeared to be stable at the time of the inspection. <br />Shrub parcel 003 was well vegetated and appeared to be stable at the time of the <br />inspection. There were no erosional problems noted on the parcel. Pond 003 <br />contained water but was not discharging at the time of the inspection. <br />
