(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: m-1 qR5-14n <br />INSPECTION DATE: F-~~-n~ INSPECTOR~SINITIALS: _~I~ <br />The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site on 6-13-01 as part of sites to be inspected for <br />fiscal year 2000-2001. The site is a small 110 operation located approximately 20 miles east of Colorado <br />Springs. Present during the inspection was Mr. David Goss, the operator. Tfie entire permit area was driven <br />and inspected. Three small stockpiled processed materials were located along the Southeast portion of the <br />permit area. According to Mr. Goss, the only activity is removal of material from existing stockpile. He <br />stated that until he is able to limit the drainage from the highway from washing out his permit area, he <br />would not actively mine the area. He plans to construct a few detention basins outside of the permit area to <br />try to mitigate the problem. Since the activity he proposes is outside of the permit area, he was notified to <br />contact the State Engineers Office, if he does not have the water rights for his proposal. He stated that he <br />has all the water rights he needs for his planned operation.
