III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Coal Gulch Mine for the month of July, 1996. <br />The vegetation on the site is doing wery well. It appears that the initial seeding of the site was <br />successful as this years growth is thick for this area. Only minor patches of weeds exist and <br />these are not a problem at this time. <br />The pond has very little water in it and there is no influent or effluent. Mike's "pond" is dry. <br />Firehawk Construction appears to have exceeded their land boundaries and have disturbed the <br />land nearest to the road by covering up the existing Coal Gulch drainage channel and rediverting <br />it to the highway. Trash is hauled to the site and burned. Apparently the county has no <br />ordinances against burning outside the city limits. <br />
