• (Page 2) • <br />i <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-77-251 <br />INSPECTION DATE 05/27/99 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CLK <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />The following observations were made during a routine inspection of the site <br />1) The DMG sign is in place as required by the rules; however the boundary markers are not <br />visible along the western and southern boundaries. This must be remedied. (P81) <br />2) The east side of the site is currently suffering from erosion damage due to the recent <br />storms. This should be graded to drain either into the pit, or into the pre-existing <br />irrigation ditch just south of the cutting. (P82) <br />3) The scarp along the western side appears stable and in no danger of deteriorating, and the <br />old mine works are still filled and do not appear to be leaking. <br />4) The water in the runoff pond directly below the scarp is tinged green, either from algae <br />or local mineral deposits. <br />5) The topsoil stockpiles appear to be adequate to reclaim the disturbance. <br />A second inspection will be set up within a month, to confirm that the financial warranty <br />currently posted is adequate and to measure the size of the disturbance and topsoil <br />stockpiles. <br />No other problems were noted at this time <br />r <br />I & E Contact Address cc: Carl B.
