Mining, and Safety (Division) Obfique aerial photos were reviewed in the <br />office on October 10, 2007 by Kent Gorham of the Droisron This processing and loadout site <br />has been inactive since June 2001 after the closure of the Lorencito Mine (#C-96-084). <br />Recent activities include the construction of a mine water settling basin and final reclamation <br />of the Development Waste Pile. <br />Hvdroloaic Balance <br />Six different <br />sediment ponds <br />and/or <br />containments to <br />control storm water <br />runoff at the site <br />are clearly visrble rn <br />one of the <br />photographs taken. <br />Pond 6. pond 7. <br />and pond 8 all held <br />substantial <br />amounts of water <br />Each of three small <br />containments near <br />the RDA conveyor <br />also held small <br />amounts of water <br />Pond 6 appeared full, likely fro <br />sediment level <br />Processing Waste <br />Downdrains and reclaimed <br />benches at the Refuse Disposal <br />Area (RDA) appeared in good <br />with condition with no visible sign <br />of damage or erosion with the <br />exception of two short segments <br />as shown in the photo at right. <br />Riprap should be repositioned as <br />soon as possible to protect the <br />downdrain channels as <br />designed. <br />m water pumped from pond 8 in preparation to evaluate the <br />
