III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of
observations made during the inspection. Comments also describe any
enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence
supporting the enforcement action.
This was a complete inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado
Division of Minerals and Geology. No one else was present. Several inches of
snow covered the ground and limited inspection.
The Division is reviewing a bond release application that, if approved, would
result in Phase II and III release of all but approximately one-quarter acre of
the site. The one-quarter acre consists of the pond and east berm area.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS
All required records were available at the Routt County Courthouse. The pond
reports noted in last month's inspection were on file. The records checklist is
attached.
SIGNS AND Mar+AFRS
Mine i.d. signs and disturbed area markers were properly displayed.
HYDROLOGIC aar.anrCE
The pond appeared to not be holding water beneath the snowcover.
SLIDES AND DAMAGE
No new rock falls were apparent on the former portal bench.
