Dear Ms. Crosby:
Om behalf of our client Connell Resources, Inc., please accept the following information in
response to your Glass Gravel Pit (M-1981-022) inspection report dated January 29, 2004 and
the follow up letter dated March 25,.2004. The follow up letter, requested that a technical
revision for the Glass Pit be submitted before May 31, 2004. The technical revision was to
include reducing the size of the final lake by up to two-thirds of its original size.
It is anticipated that the Glass Pit will eventually be completely backfilled. Therefore, instead of
submitting the technical revision as requested, we would like to obtain a reclamation permit
amendment to change the final land use of the site. In addition, we request additional time to
prepare the amendment application materials. We believe that we can have the application
materials prepared and submitted to the Division by August 16, 2004. Please notify us if this not
acceptable to the Division.
