III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE S,~NI~'1 qQ~U
P5'/~ ~3S~o~ ~~
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
REVEGETATION/RECLAMATION SUCCESS: The "old" revegetation on the refuse pile is in good
condition. The strip that was reseeded early last spring also appears to have grown nicely
over the past summer, The portion of the refuse pile that was just covered and reseeded is
growing nicely. The vegetation at the loadout appears to be in good condition (it looks like
that of the surrounding areas).
Miscellaneous:
- It appears that the Operator is continuing to remove scrap material from the bone-yard by
Pond 2. Most of the junk cars and old tractors have been removed, as well as some of the
miscellaneous debris. There is a new pile of debris that has been cleaned out of the mine.
-There are about 10 piles of coal/coal fines that have been scraped off of the ground in the
area of the clean and raw coal stockpiles. It has been said that these stockpiles will either be
sold or moved to the refuse pile.
-The Operator continues to remove equipment from the mine for sale prior to reclamation. At
the time of the inspection there was a semi with a flat bed trailer containing equipment that
had been sold.
- The operator is moving the conveyor system out of the mine and piling it behind the

shop/warehouse.
