Garber from the Division of Minerals and Geology. accompanied by <br />Tam Anderson, representing Oxbow Carbon and Minerals, performed a partial inspection of the <br />Sanbcan Creek site. During the inspection, the weather varied from cloudy and cold to intermittent <br />scow. <br />8uadt: <br />Reeds at the main facility were cleared of snow and appeared to be in good condition. <br />• Hll drainage from the main disturbed construction site is being directed to sediment pond B. <br />• Diversion ditches are in place to prevent the water in natural areas from entering the disturbed <br />areas. <br />• Please continue to place straw bales in diversion ditches to prevent sediment from moving off <br />site until the new vegetation has stabilized these fmtures. <br />• Pc®d B continues to contain water and some sediment. <br />• According m Tam Aadetson, the sedrment in pond B will be removed during the operation for <br />enlarging this Pond. <br />• At the t®e of this inspechiao, the mine panel continues to discharge clear water. Samples were <br />collected for laboratory ennalysis, by Tam Anderson. <br />Toll: <br />Large quantities of "topsoil" are being collected along the sides of Elk Creek where the new ROM <br />storage pile will be located. Same of this material was from the previous location of the explaeive <br />smrapp arm, same is a collection of taQsoil that has migrated down slope, a~ other is frmt old debris <br />flaws in the arm.
