The lock was changed on the gate and the only access to date is to <br />walk in just as you did. We had a lock on the chain and it was bypassed and a <br />combination lock is in place. <br />The last mining activity was in April of 2002. We failed to contract with a large <br />company that would purchase 80,000 plus tons per year to make a viable operation. The <br />State Land Board later would not renew our lease with a reasonable royalty. <br />Mark Davis directed us to leave the exploratory trenches open for potential new client <br />inspection. The last few years have been so dry we were discouraged to do reclamation. <br />As you know, the reclamation bond remains in place. <br />Around the first of January, we applied for a new lease but have yet to receive an answer. <br />We feel this gypsum source could be marketed today since there is an extra cement plant <br />in the vicinity. <br />Very truly your, <br />~~ ,~//" , <br />i~-~Un <br />~~ ~ ~~~ <br />Jerry Screws <br />
