(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-2005-051 <br />INSPECTION DATE 9/26/05 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS ESC <br />This was a pre-operation inspection of the River Park Recreation Access conducted by Erica <br />Crosby of the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology. Kayette Hutchison of ACA Products, <br />Inc. was present during the inspection. The site is located 2.8 miles southeast of Buena <br />Vista in Chaffee County, Colorado. <br />The River Park Recreation Access is a 110 sand and gravel pending application. The <br />application was submitted on July 12, 2005 for a total of 9.96 acres. The area is <br />immediately east of the Arkansas River. The operator intends to remove approximately 100,000 <br />cubic yards of material over a 10-year period. The area will be mined to a depth of 34 feet. <br />An access road to the Arkansas River will be made for the landowner and the remainder of the <br />area will be left as pastureland. The operator may in the future convert the area to a <br />public recreation access to the river. <br />The disturbed area was marked, and a notice of the pending application sign was visible at <br />the entrance to the site. Two individuals submitted comments to the Division regarding the <br />pending application.
