The site is a small 110
sand and gravel operation located approximately 5 miles South East of
Branson Colorado. Operator was notified of the pending inspection but was
unable to attend.
An adequate permit sign was posted at the access to the pit area. The
access road could use some surface re-grading. Pit was not active at the
time of the inspection. Adequate boundary markers were posted. What
appeared to be overburden was stockpiled along South and WEST side of the
permit area. Some grading to approximate 3:1 was noted along the East side
of the pit area. No reclamation appeared to have taken place on site.
There was what appeared to be a trailer from a Jeep parked along the south
side of the pit area. In addition on the pit floor, along the North East
side, there was what appeared to be a belt from a conveyer, an empty 50
gallon drum and other non mine waste noted.
The operation appeared to be in compliance with the approved reclamation
plan.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: PHIL DORENKAMP
OPERATOR: I AS ANIMAS CO
STREET: 7nnn N- I INf)FN AVF
CITY/STATE/ZIP: rRlNnnn r^~ ~tna~
CC:
cc: r CE
r BL
r FS
r HW
T HMWMD (CH)
r
r sE
r WQCD (CHI
r OTHER
