(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-1986-160
INSPECTION DATE: 8-22-06
OBSERVATIONS
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS GRM
This inspection was conducted as part of the normal monitoring program established by the Colorado Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety forpermitted sites. The Sunnyside Pitis a 110c pit located north of State Road 330
near Molina, Colorado. Milton Derrick, consultant to Parkerson Construction accompanied the inspector on site.
The mine identification sign and affected area boundary markers are in place and incompliance with Rule 3.1.12.
The sign is clearly posted at the entrance to the mine site. Permit boundaries are marked by t-posts, fencing and
natural features.
No activity is noted at the Sunnyside Pit at this time. Vegetation growing in the road indicates little or no recent
activities as well. Currently there are no stockpiles on site. The highwall appears stable at this point and there is a
sufficient work bench to catch any material that dribbles down at this point.
There is a significant infestation of musk thistle on site. However, there is strong evidence that the operator is being
diligent in the spraying and attempts to control the noxious weeds. As noted in the photos large areas of dead and
dying plants were observed that have been recently sprayed. The presents of noxious weeds is not noted as a
problem due to the operator's active control measures.
The site is clean of any mining debris. The inspector notes some bee hives and pallets on site related to the bees.
Although the beekeeping on site is not a problem, please be diligent in keeping unnecessary build up of trash from
occurring due to these activities.
The Financial Warranty was last reviewed in 2001. Staff will recalculate the bond using accepted tasks and volumes
from the last update.
Overall, the site is clean and maintained. No issues or problems are noted at this time.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Russ Means at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3`d Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone no.
970-241-L117.
I & E Contact Address cc:
^ CE
NAME: Alan Parkerson ^ BL
OPERATOR: Parkerson Construction ^ FS
STREET: 710 S. 15`~ Street ^ HW
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Grand Junction, 8150L ^ HMWMD (CH)
^ WQCD (CH)
^ OTHER
