(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1978-304
INSPECTION DATE 1-28-2004 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS SSS
OBSERVATIONS
The mine identification sign and affected area boundary markers are in place and in compliance with Rule 3.1.12.
No significant infestations of noxious or other problematic weeds were noted on site during this inspection.
Some minor erosion was noted on the west side of the site where a rill was forming on the outslope of the stockpiled
overburden. The rill has caused a small amount of sedimentation in the county road ditch adjacent to the pit. Delta county will
need to repair this rill, clean the sediment out of the ditch, and correct the problem that has caused runoff to create this rill.
This situation is not listed as a problem in this report because of its insignificant nature. However, if left in the current state, this
could become a major liability for Delta County.
Some truckloads of old asphalt have been dumped on site. The operator indicated that these materials will be recycled. The
operator needs to be aware that if these materials are not recycled, and become part of the permanent fill at the site, a notice of
importation of inert fill will need to be filed with DMG, per Rule 3.1.5(9).
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Steve Shuey at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 South 3ro Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone number 970-243-6368.
I & E Contact Address
NAME
OPERATOR
STREET
CITY/STATE/ZIP
Larry Record
Delta County
501 Palmer Street, Suite 227
Delta.
