<br />111. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the inspection. <br />Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the <br />enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Eastside Mine conducted by Erica Crosby of DMG. No <br />company representative was present during the inspection. The Eastside Creek Mine status is <br />inactive. Weather conditions on site were clear and warm. Ground conditions were dry. <br />Records Mine records were inspected at the Garfield County Courthouse. See attached report for <br />further detail. <br />Signs & Markers Mine ID and DMG signs were posted at the mine entrance, and all information <br />appeared accurate. <br />Roads Road was dry and in good condition. Culverts and ditches were functional. <br />Hydrologic Balance The sediment pond was dry and no recent discharge was noted. The pond <br />embankment is stable and well vegetated. Spillways are in good repair. The clean water diversion <br />ditch was dry during the inspection, and well vegetated in numerous areas. The permanent diversion <br />ditch is well vegetated, and no erosion features were noted. The operator stated that the diversion <br />down drain connecting to Harvey Gap will be installed this summer. No mine water was noted in the <br />pipe leading to the portals. <br />Backfilling_& Grading The backfilled slopes were stable and well vegetated. No erosion features were <br />noted. <br />
