(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1977-407
INSPECTION DATE 08/28/2003
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS SSS
This was a routine monitoring inspection conducted as part of DMG's ongoing monitoring program for permitted mines in
Colorado.
The mine identification sign and affected area boundary markers are in place and in compliance with Rule 3.1.12.
No significant erosional features were noted on the affected areas of the site.
No significant infestations of noxious or other problematic weeds were noted on site other than one patch of knapweed that is
located between the two access roads near the west fence line. It was obvious that weeds had been sprayed this season, but
this patch of knapweed was either missed or was not adversely affected by the herbicide used. This patch was noted in
previous inspections and should be sprayed again this fall as the vegetation is beginning to die back.
The mine operation is in substantially the same condition as reported in the previous inspection report with some additional
material having been removed from the product stockpiles.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Steve Shuey at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone number 970-243-6368.
I & E Contact Address
NAME
OPERATOR
STREET
CITY/STATE/ZIP
Kevin Hunt
Montrose Countv
161 South Townsend
Montrose.
