Hydrologic Balance <br />The sediment pond held water to the top of the riser. Rain the previous evening did not <br />result in substantial runoff to the pond. The pond embankment and spillway appeared <br />normal and in good condition. The trash rack was found intact on the riser. <br />No repair of contour ditches or the armored ditch on the refuse slope was observed. The <br />refuse berm appeared normal and in good condition. Culverts site-wide were checked and <br />are clear and appear functional The 100-year ditch above the reclaimed refuse area was <br />traversed along its entire length and found in good condition. <br />Revegetation <br />Cattle or evidence of grazing were not observed on the reclamation. Reclaimed areas <br />continue to thrive this year due to abundant moisture. Grasses and fortis are tall and appear <br />healthy. Vegetative cover from these desirable species as well as cover from the annual <br />weeds provides shelter, shade, and protection from erosion. Warm season grasses have set <br />seed heads and are pollinating <br />• , y~ ~.'
