I, 2000 <br />Pale 4 <br />~A second phase of work should be designed and implemented for when pond removal <br />occurs, to incorporate a downstream southeast meander (towards the rock cliffs). This <br />should help to decrease flow erosivity, and this is probably an area that received flows prior <br />to the installation of the current mine facilities. <br />I assured the BLM that we would work closely with them as we finalize these plans with <br />Powderhom Coal Company. This includes my commitment to obtain their review of this <br />memorandum prior to finalization, and to ensure their review of any final reclamation plan details <br />prior to final approval. <br />It was also discussed and agreed that the BLM would assume responsibility for maintenance of the <br />road and Coal Creek crossings once Powderhom Coal Company is released from maintenance <br />liability. Powderhor Coal Company will need to secure documentation of this transfer of <br />responsibility to ensure compliance with our regulations. <br />Please proceed with your efforts to obtain detailed reclamation plans and designs far inclusion with <br />the Powderhom Coal Company permit document. The plans and designs for the channel and <br />crossing'work must be detailed and specific. <br />Please let me know if you need any help from me, and thank you for your patience in awaiting my <br />review. <br />
