A coplete and final response to your <br />inspection report cannot be prepared at the present time due to the exis- <br />tence of certain unresolved issues regarding the pending radioactivz materials <br />license application for the ore sorter and the overlap of those issues with <br />questions and comments raised in your inspection report. The questions and <br />concerns which are not addressed in this letter pertain to runoff control. <br />Following resolution of this issue during the ore sorter licensing process, <br />I will forward a final response to your inspection report. <br />This letter will respond to each of the categories of information <br />appearing on the inspection report form. <br />General Obligations <br />Cotter has filed all annual reports required to date. <br />Signs and Markers <br />No response required <br />Preminino - Postminino Land Use <br />A copy of a soils/vegetation assessment pertaining to radionuclide <br />uptake is attached hereto. <br />Backfilling and Grading - Rule 6.1 <br />1. The waste dump rock fragments settle and compact well. It is not <br />unreasonable to expect compaction of the clay cap of up to 95Y. <br /> <br />
