~~~2. Elk Creek C-1981-022 <br />13 September 2005 ~~~-' <br />Processing Waste: -The West Valley fill has approximately 20 piles of refuse that need to <br />be spread and compacted. The hole that was in the pile from shipping refuse to the Bowie <br />No. 2 Mine wash plant has been filled. The pile appeared to be stable and there was no <br />water pooling on the pile and no erosional problems noted. <br />- The 2-West pile is ready to be used however, to date, no refuse has been placed in the <br />pile. <br />Topsoil: -The Elk Creek topsoil pile was well vegetated and stable at the time of the <br />inspection. No erosional problems were noted. <br />- Topsoil has been spread on the reclaimed gob vent boreholes. <br />Support Facilities: -The Hubbard Creek fan and substation pad was stable at the time of <br />the inspection. There were no erosional problems at the site. <br />- The operator was building change house at the Elk Creek facilities area. The foundation <br />has been constructed and the pad has been poured. <br />4 <br />
