III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Sunlight C-1981-046 <br />Pg 1 /1 23 May 05 ~~ <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement acfions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Sunlight Mine conducted by Jim Stark of <br />CDMG. The permit for the site has been revoked and the reclamation was <br />completed by the Division. The weather was warm and sunny and the ground was <br />dry. <br />Signs and Markers: The Division's revoked mine site sign was in place and in good <br />condition at the time of the inspection. <br />Hydrologic Balance: The sediment pond was dry at the time of the inspection. The <br />pond embankment appeared to be stable at the time of the inspection. No <br />erosional problems were noted. <br />Backfilling & Grading: The backfilled areas appeared to be stable at the time of the <br />inspection. There was no visible cracking, slumping, settling or sliding of the backfilled <br />areas at the time of the inspection. <br />Overall, the entire site appeared to be stable at the time of the inspection. <br />
