(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-2002-113
INSPECTION DATE 3/19/02
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS GRM
This inspection was conducted in conjunction with a request for a Technical Revision (TR), TR-01, to the Reclamation Plan.
The operator is making changes to the plan to address concerns and recommendation from the Army Corp of Engineers.
The inspector was accompanied on site by operator's representative and consultant, Steve Wujek. The weather was clear
and snow cover was noted in shaded areas only.
This site has not begun operation as of this date. No disturbance or activity was noted. The primary goal of this inspection
was to review the planned operation and review the request to add inflows to pits as reclamation is complete. Also, part of the
TR is to remove some acreage from the plan to protect additional wetlands.
Although not listed as a problem in this report, adequate signage should be posted as required by rule even though activity
has not begun on site. The mine identification sign was not observed and must be installed per the requirements of Rule 3.1.12
that state: The operator shall post a sign at the entrance to the mine site which shall be clearly visible from the access road
and specify the following; a) the name of the operator; b) indicate that a reclamation permit for the operation has been issued
by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, and; c) the permit number.
No problems were apparent. A review of the planned addition of inlets does not appear to adversely change the original
Reclamation Plan. The operator is awaiting documentation from the Corp of Engineers concerning the 404 Permit that will
be incorporated into the Reclamation Permit for future reference. -
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Russ Means at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 South 3rtl Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone no. 970-241-1117.
I & E Contact Address
NAME John Martin
OPERATOR Roarinc Fork Resources.
