Mule deer were observed feeding on reclamation vegetation within the permit
area. Elk scat was observed throughout the permit area. Evidence of recent human
activity was not observed. DMG inspector did not encounter anyone or observed any
human activity at the mine site during the time of this inspection.
Driving surface of access road appeared stable, evidence of minor erosion was observed
in exposed portions of road side drainage ditch.
Portions of the backfilled highwall/portal area appeared to have been recently regraded
and reseeded.
