(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-199 -018 INSPECTION DATE 04/19/05 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS GRS
This was a routine monitoring inspection of the Wagner Rock Pit, conducted by Gregg Squire of
the Division of Minerals and Geology. Jay Wagner, the operator, was also present. The
operation is located approximately one mile east of the Pioneer Breeze Mountain #2 Pit.
A Permit ID sign was posted at the entrance to the site. The permit boundaries were marked
with T-bar metal posts with fluorescent orange tops. No disturbance was observed outside the
boundaries. The ore body appears to be a basalt dike which has intruded through a softer
(shale?) rock. The material has been mined in a cut which runs roughly east to west within
the permit area. The operator stated that the usable material may be about mined out.
There are stockpiles of overburden/topsoil located on the north and south sides of the cut.
The operation is currently active, crushing and screening was being done at the time of the
inspection and there were several piles of processed rock on the site. The is a scale and a
bermed fuel tank on the east side of the permit area, and silt fencing has been installed in
the drainage to the north and west of the active site area.
The site appears to be stable and no problems were noted during the inspection.
I & 8 Contact Address
NAME Mr. Jay Wagner
OPERATOR Wagner Construction
STREET 96400 E.
